PCSW taking Student Leadership Award submissions

The President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) at 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ invites submissions for the Student Leadership Award, which recognizes and develops leadership skills for outstanding undergraduate women. The deadline is Feb. 20 by noon.

Eligible 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ students are invited to submit an essay, 1,000-words maximum, describing campus involvement, field of study, community service and related work as it impacts and improves the lives of women. Include a resume of accomplishments, awards, honors, previous experience and career plans for future work and service.

Submit the essay and resume in PDF format directly to Susan Hall at slh1@msstate.edu with "PCSW Student Leadership Award" in the subject line. Two award recipients will be selected.

Award recipients will receive a travel award with expenses paid to attend the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders at the University of Maryland, College Park, in late May; a cash award of $150; lunch with 91Âé¶¹ÌìÃÀ President Mark E. Keenum; and recognition at the PCSW award ceremony on April 7.
